Dr Beryl Tan
Dr Beryl Tan is a Melbourne and New Zealand-trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon that has extensive international training in various aspects of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, and an interest in body contouring and lipoedema surgery.
Beryl performs lipoedema surgery with liposuction as well as excisional / contouring surgery.
Dr Tan is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery – FRACS (Plast). And completed the following fellowships:
- Body Contouring and Facial Aesthetics at the Dutch Association for Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship (DAFPRS) program in Germany
- Breast Reconstructive Surgery in France and Belgium
- Aesthetic plastic surgery fellow in Melbourne
- Dr Tan has a keen interest in fat tissue research and tissue engineering. Beryl received the Australian Postgraduate Award 2014 with University of Melbourne and was a Research Fellow in the area of fat tissue at the O’Brien Institute in Melbourne.
Dr Tan was actively involved in volunteer plastic surgery work via Interplast and Operation Restore Hope.
